RAWALPINDI: A terrorist involved in the killing of innocent citizens was gunned down in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s (KP) Dera Ismail Khan district on Tuesday, according to Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR).
According to the military’s media wing, security personnel carried out an intelligence-led operation in the DI Khan district today.
During the operation, a heavy firefight between Pakistani soldiers and terrorists occurred, resulting in the death of terrorist Muhammad Sohail, according to the ISPR.
The assassinated terrorist continued to engage in various terrorist acts against law enforcement authorities, as well as targeted killings of innocent citizens.
A sanitisation campaign is underway to eliminate any more terrorists discovered in the vicinity. Locals in the region applauded the security forces.Earlier in the month, the security forces also killed at least two terrorists, including a “high-value-target”, during an IBO in the same district.
After an exchange of fire between troops and terrorists, HVT terrorist ring leader Ashraf Sheikh and terrorist Burhan Ullah were killed. The forces also recovered weapons, ammunition, and explosives were also recovered from the killed terrorists.
