Texas Teen Camila Mendoza Olmos Reported Missing
Authorities are investigating the disappearance of 19-year-old Camila Mendoza Olmos, last seen leaving her San Antonio home on Christmas Eve. She went out for her usual morning walk and has not been heard from since.
Dashcam Footage Released
On Monday, local officials shared dashcam footage that might show Mendoza Olmos walking near her home. While authorities cannot confirm it is her, Bexar County Sheriff Javier Salazar noted that the clothing seen in the video matches what she was wearing when she vanished.
Authorities Explore All Possibilities
Sheriff Salazar emphasized that investigators are considering all scenarios. He said the sheriff’s office is coordinating with the FBI as they explore possibilities ranging from voluntary disappearance to self-harm or abduction.
Family Pleads for Her Safe Return
Mendoza Olmos’s parents are holding onto hope. Her father, Alfonso Mendoza, told CBS Mornings, “I miss her, come home,” and shared that he has been praying for her safety. Her mother, speaking in Spanish to CBS, expressed that they remain hopeful despite the pain of not knowing her whereabouts.
Previous Sightings and Concerns
Authorities previously released footage from the day Camila disappeared, which showed her searching her car for an unknown item. Investigators believe she then left on foot, leaving her vehicle behind, and note that she unusually left without her phone, raising additional concerns.
