José Andrés, the founder of World Central Kitchen, penned an opinion piece for an Israeli website following the deaths of seven employees in Gaza at the hands of Israeli bombings.
“The airstrikes against our convoy were not merely an unlucky error in the confusion of battle. According to Andrés, “It was a direct attack on vehicles with obvious markings whose movements the [Israeli military] knew.” “It was also a direct outcome of the government of his [PM Netanyahu’s] strategy to restrict humanitarian help to extreme extent.”
“Today, the Israeli government must open land routes for the import of food and medication. Today, it must cease killing humanitarian workers and civilians. The arduous road to peace must begin now.
