The entire stadium renovation project planned by the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) for Karachi, Lahore, and Rawalpindi has cast doubt on the outcome of the national team’s Test matchup with England.
As part of the ongoing International Cricket Council (ICC) World Test Championship (WTC) 2023–25, Pakistan and England will play three Test matches. The first Test is slated to take place in Multan from October 7–11.
The final match is slated to take place in Rawalpindi from October 24 to 28, with the second Test taking place in Karachi from October 15 to 19.
However, the PCB has chosen to rehabilitate the locations designated to host the big tournament, namely National Stadium in Karachi and Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore, in advance of the Champions Trophy 2025.
