ISLAMABAD According to The News on Thursday, National Assembly Speaker Sardar Ayaz Sadiq was able to convince the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) and the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) to stop publicly criticizing one another after days of verbal altercations that had escalated tensions between allies.
Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar, Senator Rana Sanaullah, Federal Minister Rana Mubashir, and other top PMLN officials attended the meeting, which took place in the speaker’s chamber. Naveed Qamar and Aijaz Jakhrani represented the PPP.
