The top berth is theoretically still up for grabs, just as it was with three clubs participating last year.
Even with Hull KR’s best efforts, there is still a challenge this year, with Wigan Warriors sitting pretty to keep that title.
Below them, with the composition of the whole six still to be determined, it’s a true shootout for the final top-four slot and the play-off picture overall.
All six of the top clubs compete in the play-offs, with the top two moving on to the semi-finals, and the competition culminating in the Grand Final at Old Trafford on October 12.
The top-ranked team plays the bottom-ranked team in a home-and-home elimination format, with the winners advancing to the semifinals. The remaining four clubs compete in a play-off format.
You can watch highlights of every game in the final round of the competition on the Sport website and app, as well as stream the Hull FC vs. Catalans Dragons match on Saturday at 15:00 BST.
Skewed Robins’ hopes?
Despite Hull KR being just two points behind Wigan, who had led the Super League standings after 26 matches, Wigan has proven to be the most reliable team of 2024.
