The video, which was shot two weeks ago during a chairman’s dinner at the University of Warwick Conservatives Association, features people singing Erika, a song that the Nazi German military employed.
After obtaining the video, the news claimed to have seen multiple association members laughing and dancing while the song was playing on the sound system.

According to the publication, the video finishes when one of the members notices the camera and exclaims, “Don’t film!”

The University of Warwick Conservatives Association issued a statement expressing their total condemnation of the behavior shown in the video and their apology for any offense caused.

The member who requested that the song be played would no longer be allowed to attend its activities, even if it was stated that the majority of people in the video “were completely unaware of the origins and connotations of the song.”

According to the group, “anyone heard actively singing lyrics is not a member and has been banned from all future events.”

According to the association, its members have continuously worked to combat antisemitism on campuses. They have even taken part in efforts to have Warwick Student’s Union disassociated from the National Union of Students for their inability to address antisemitism.

It said, “Our members have also put in a lot of effort to make sure the Students Union observes Holocaust Memorial Day in a fitting manner.”
