About 20 of the 200 patients who are still hospitalized, according to the WHO, require an immediate referral to another facility.
Hamas-run Gaza’s health ministry has stated similar things. Speaking for the company, Ashraf al Qidra remarked, “It’s gone completely out of service.”
“There are only four medical teams – 25 staff – currently caring for patients inside the facility.”
On Thursday, Israeli forces conducted an incursion inside the Khan Younis hospital, claiming to have intelligence that Hamas members were holed up there.
Israel continued, “It’s possible that some captives’ bodies are still there, and that hostages were held at the facility.”
The WHO’s chief, Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus, reported that his teams had been refused entry to the facility on Friday and Saturday.
According to what Mr. Ghebreyesus wrote on X, it meant they couldn’t “assess the conditions of the patients and critical medical needs”.
“Nasser hospital in Gaza is not functional anymore after a weeklong siege followed by the ongoing raid,” he stated.
