On Sunday, Rana Sanaullah, the Prime Minister’s Adviser on Political and Public Affairs, announced that negotiations on the constitutional change with the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) had begun.
“We have expected that Maulana Fazlur Rehman will give us support, but he is having some doubts,” Sanaullah stated in his statement. Fazlur Rehman has also attended discussions with the president and prime minister.”
“A longtime ally is Fazlur Rehman. His votes will bring our total to 211. The Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) declared that a consensus would be reached after the allotted number of games were played.
Sanaullah continued: “Right now, we are not having the complete number of games, due to which the consultations are underway.”
