To prevent traffic congestion on the roadways ahead of today’s public gathering in Karachi by Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam Fazl (JUI-F), a traffic diversion strategy has been developed.
Today, Thursday, at 4 p.m., the Maulana Fazlur Rehman-led party will hold a rally next to the Peoples Chowrangi next to Mazar-e-Quaid. Parking arrangements have been provided for rally participants at the Excise Chowrangi, Bagh-e-Jinnah, and Mazar-e-Quaid (VIP) Gate.
The city’s traffic department has blocked Numaish Chowrangi, which leads to MA Jinnah Road, one of Karachi’s main thoroughfares, for general traffic in order to prevent gridlock around the rally’s location. The public is given a list of alternate routes to choose from.
Thus, Karachiites will not be permitted to travel to Numaish from Jamshed Road and Teen Hatti. To go where they’re going, they can travel along Tariq Road.
Shahrah-e-Quaideen traffic, on the other hand, will not be permitted to travel past the Noorani signal and will instead be directed to turn onto the Khalid bin Waleed Road.
Vehicles traveling from Jail Chowrangi to Jamshed Road will be detoured onto Soldier Bazaar and Business Recorder Road, while traffic traveling from University Road will be rerouted from Jail Chowrangi to Shaheed-e-Millat Road.
