One of Hollywood’s greats persuaded Charlie Sheen to check himself into a rehab facility.
Sheen recounted an alcohol intervention in which his close friends and family persuaded him to seek treatment and take back his life. Under the pretense of his father’s 1990 birthday celebration, the Two and a Half Men star received an invitation to the convention.
“I get invited to my dad’s birthday party,” Sheen, who plays Charlie Sheen in the documentary, remembers. “I believe Mom called to say, ‘We have to get it done early because Dad has things to do.'” “We’re thinking 9:00,” she says, and I respond, “a.m.?” She says, “Yeah.”
I’m searching for balloons, a cake, and amusing hats when she brings me into the house.
