The messaging service WhatsApp, owned by Meta, is reportedly introducing a new feature for its desktop client called “chat filter.” According to WABetaInfo, this feature will allow users to better organize and manage their chats, which will improve their overall experience using the app. Some beta testers who are using an updated version of WhatsApp Web are currently able to get this feature.
As shown in this screenshot, a new row is placed at the top of the chat list screen, and it includes new important filters to allow users to categorise their conversations.
This feature aims to make it easier for users to manage and organize their WhatsApp Web conversations by presenting new filters to them.
The new row, which sits at the top of the chat list screen, includes useful filters like “Unread,” “Contacts,” and “Groups,” which allow users to quickly access particular chat categories.
It is important to note that customers who have already signed up for the official web client beta program can still use this function, which grants them access to additional features.
More users will be able to access the feature in the days to come.
