KARACHI: On Friday, the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) predicted rain and thunder for Karachi for the next two days, ending on February 4.
According to the Met Office, there will be a lot of rain in Karachi on February 3 and 4.
At 19°C, the PMD recorded the lowest temperature over the previous 12 hours. On the other hand, the city is predicted to see a high of 29°C for the day. It stated that the air’s humidity was 65%.
On Friday morning, there was light to moderate rain in some areas of Karachi. No. Nazimabad, No. Karachi, Lyari, Baldia Town, Gulistan-e-Johar, Liaquatabad, Saddar, Bahadurabad, Tariq Road, Korangi, Landhi, DHA, Qayyumabad, Mehmoodabad, Ranchorr Line, and FB Area were among the places that saw rain.
In numerous Balochistan areas, including Nokkundi, Dalbandin, Chagi, Kalat, Khuzdar, Lasbella, Awaran, Turbat, Kech, Gwadar, Jiwani, Pasni, Ormara, Panjgur, Kharan, Noushki, Washuk, Mastung, Sibbi, Naseerabad, Zhob, Sherani, Barkhan, Musakhel, Kohlu, Jhal Magsi, Loralai, Ziarat, Quetta, Chaman, Pishin, Qila Abdullah, and Qila Saifullah were among the locations where the PMD had predicted rain and isolated heavyfall in these areas on January 30.
Additionally, the Met Office stated that on February 2 and 3, cold and partly overcast weather was predicted in other parts of the province, while light to moderate rain was predicted in Sukkur, Larkana, Dadu, Mirpurkhas, Karachi, Shaheed Benazirabad, Jacobabad, and Kashmore.
“In the local nullahs of Barkhan, Kohlu, Sibbi, Naseerabad, Dalbandin, and Khuzdar on February, heavy rainfall may result in flash flooding.”The PMD added that rain would be advantageous for standing crops, especially in Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s “Barani areas.”
