A growing number of professionals are looking to travel the world while still advancing in their jobs as remote work becomes more prevalent.
These days, a term known as “digital nomad” is frequently used to characterize those who work from anywhere.
A list of the top 65 nations for digital nomads has been created by Global Citizen Solutions in response to this trend. The ranking is based on various criteria, including cost of visas, benefits, quality of life, economy, and technology.
Spain has launched its Digital Nomad Visa program in early 2023, making it the finest country in Europe for digital nomads. In order to be eligible for this visa, candidates need to fulfill a few requirements:
Hold a non-European nationality.
You could work for a corporation situated outside of Spain or as a freelancer.possess no criminal history from the previous five years, either in Spain or any other nation.
have Spanish-specific health insurance.
Give evidence of your credentials, such as a degree from a university or relevant job experience.
At least three months’ worth of professional correspondence with a foreign company should be shown (for freelancers).
Demonstrate they have enough money to finance their stay, with a $2,750 minimum monthly income. The monthly necessary income rises to $3,750 if a family is being brought.
The Netherlands is ranked second, behind Spain, and the top five is completed by Norway, Estonia, and Romania. Among the other noteworthy nations in the top 10 are France, Malta, Portugal, Canada, and Hungary. The only Asian nations in the top 15 are Malaysia and Taiwan, which are ranked 12th and 15th, respectively.
