ISLAMABAD: The prime minister’s adviser on political affairs, Rana Sanaullah, stated on Tuesday that direct talks between top leaders like Asif Zardari, Shehbaz Sharif, or Nawaz Sharif would ease the ongoing tension between the PPP and the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N).
PML-N leader Sanaullah stated on the news show “Aaj Kay Saath” that despite political disagreements, the two parties frequently work together on a number of issues. He stated that although the PPP and PML-N are opposing political parties, they are not adversaries, saying, “We have worked together and also struggled jointly.”
Following the Punjab chief minister, the verbal sparring between the PPP and PML-N, which had started over flood compensation through the Benazir Income Support Programme (BISP), grew more intense.
