Trump-friendly Shane Gillis’s Bud Light endorsement is applauded by comedians, and SNL returns following cancellation

Right-leaning stand-up comedians discussed their reactions to the announcement that popular comic Shane Gillis, who is acquainted with President Trump, will be teaming up with Bud Light for his 2024 comedy tour and serving as host of “Saturday Night Live.”

Gillis is a well-known illustration of a comedian who has recovered from cancellation. He was sacked shortly after it was revealed that he had been hired to join “Saturday Night Live” in 2019 because to past racial jokes that had appeared on his podcast. Since then, he’s gained popularity among conservatives, especially after praising and mimicking the former president Trump in the Netflix special “Beautiful Dogs,” which was titled after a rumored Trump quotation.

In the meantime, Bud Light seems to be attempting to win back conservative support by supporting Gillis and utilizing pro-America advertisements in the wake of a large backlash from consumers over its association with transgender activist and influencer Dylan Mulvaney.

SHANE Gillis, COMEDIAN, AND BUD LIGHT PARTNERS AFTER COMPANY’S FALL FROM GRACE

Gillis posted on his Instagram last week, saying, “Excited to announce partnership with Bud Light #budlightpartner.” Fox News Digital was informed by Todd Allen, Vice President of Marketing at Bud Light, that they will be working with him on his 2024 Live Comedy Tour.

It was announced over the weekend that Gillis will host an episode of Saturday Night Live on February 24.

Fox News Digital spoke with a few right-leaning stand-up comedians to find out their thoughts on Gillis’s partnership with Bud Light. While some conservatives have reacted negatively to the comic’s partnership with the beverage, accusing it of selling out, others have argued that Bud Light has instead caved in and “sold out” to conservatives by making an anti-woke U-turn by teaming up with Gillis and the UFC.
