President Donald Trump held a signed “Make Iran Great Again” hat while standing next to Sen. Lindsey Graham, R-S.C. Graham posted the photo Monday morning on his X account, flashing a thumbs-up as Trump showed off the black hat with his signature.
Graham praised Trump, writing, “Another great day with @POTUS who has brought America back, stronger than ever, at home and abroad. God bless our Commander in Chief and all of the brave men and women who serve under him.”
Protests Sweep Across Iran
Protesters have taken to the streets in more than 220 locations across 26 of Iran’s 31 provinces, according to the Human Rights Activists News Agency. Security forces killed at least 20 people and arrested over 990.
The unrest began over rising economic hardships and escalated quickly as demonstrators shouted anti-government slogans. Inflation near 40% and soaring prices for essentials like meat and rice have worsened public anger.
Fuel Price Hikes Spark More Public Outrage
In December, the government raised fuel prices, introducing a new tier for heavily subsidized gasoline. Officials plan to review fuel prices every three months, which could trigger further unrest.
Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei warned that “rioters must be put in their place,” yet protesters continue marching, and security forces clash with them in Tehran and other cities.
