Washington: In addition to asking his right-wing media allies for assistance in identifying supporters of the movement, which he has requested the federal authorities to consider as a “terrorist organization,” US President Donald Trump on Wednesday pledged “very threatening” actions against antifa.
Trump has vowed to take action against left-wing organizations and contributors that have no proven connection to the murder of right-wing activist Charlie Kirk, almost a month after the incident.
Despite local officials’ protests and ongoing legal review, the Republican president has also taken steps to impose federal troops and law enforcement into Democrat-run communities from Portland, Oregon, to Chicago.
