LODHRAN: Two men were found guilty of raping a girl with speech and hearing impairments in Punjab’s Lodhran district and were given 14-year prison sentences each by an anti-rape court.
Additionally, the defendants, Muhammad Ijaz, 24, and Muhammad Shan, 25, were forced to pay fines of Rs. 1 million apiece.
Additionally, the court mandated that the two reimburse the victim with fines of Rs 100,000 each.
According to the court’s ruling, they will be imprisoned for an additional six months if they do not pay any of the fines.
The case began in March 2021 when a first information report (FIR) was filed at the Lodhran City police station.
The Pakistan Penal Code’s Sections 292C (punishment for child pornography) and 376 (punishment for rape) were cited in the FIR.
