Around 9:50 p.m. local time Thursday, two strong explosions rocked the Afghan capital of Kabul, according to AFP correspondents.

Zabihullah Mujahid, a spokesman for the Taliban leadership, acknowledged that the capital had heard an explosion.

The Afghanistan official stated in a social media tweet late Thursday that while the explosions are being looked into, “no casualties have been reported as of yet.”
