peopleWhen the fire department’s air mattress flipped, two people who had jumped out the windows onto it perished.
Additional casualties were discovered in rooms situated on the eighth level, where it is thought that an electrical malfunction caused the fire to ignite.
Since the rooms lacked sprinklers, even though the fire did not spread across the structure, there was a great deal of damage.
According to the city’s fire department, the nine-story hotel was constructed in 2003, prior to the requirement for sprinklers being codified into law.
If there was any negligence on the part of the hotel managers, it is being looked into by the police.
The use of the air mattress by the fire department is also being looked at.
According to reports, as the second male victim leaped, the mattress flipped over because the female victim had grabbed its corner as they landed.
Serious injuries, some brought on by inhaling smoke, are being treated in the hospital for those who were hurt.
