Early on Tuesday, a bombing of residential buildings occurred in Kharkiv, in the northeastern Ukrainian city, leaving three people dead and 42 injured.
Among them were two women, ages 40 and 56.
According to the mayor of the city, rescuers were searching through the debris for survivors after part of an apartment building was destroyed.
In Kiev, a block of apartments caught fire, damaging another, injuring multiple other people. Authorities later claimed that the death of one woman who had been reported dead was unconfirmed.
