KARACHI: The US Navy Ship USS INDIANAPOLIS, a Freedom Class Littoral Combat Ship (LCS), visited Karachi Port on Thursday and performed a sea drill with the Pakistan Navy.
According to Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR), when the US Navy ship arrived in Karachi, it was met by senior Pakistan Navy officers.
During the stay in Karachi, activities included professional engagement with PN authorities and the ship’s crew through table-top discussions on current concerns, as well as a planning and coordination meeting for the combined sea exercise.
At sea, the Pakistan Navy Ship ALAMGIR, with an embarked helicopter, conducted a sea exercise with a visiting US Navy ship to improve interoperability between the two fleets.
