ISLAMABAD In order to help Unicef’s emergency response for families impacted by the recent floods in Pakistan, the United States has committed $1 million.

More than 65,000 individuals, including children and pregnant women, will get life-saving aid thanks to the financing from the US State Department’s Bureau of Population, Refugees, and Migration, according to Unicef.

According to a statement from the United Nations International Children’s Emergency Fund (Unicef), the assistance would be concentrated on delivering clean water, sanitation, hygiene, and nutrition to the communities affected by the floods.

With the added risks of starvation and fatal waterborne illnesses, children are always the most at risk during emergencies.
