The suicide bombing that took at least 15 lives two days ago at a public meeting of the Balochistan National Party (BNP) in Quetta has been harshly denounced by the United States.
The US Embassy in Islamabad posted on X, “We offer our sincere condolences to the loved ones of those who were killed and injured.”
The statement said, “The people of Pakistan deserve to live without fear or violence.”
Washington “stands shoulder-to-shoulder with Pakistan against reprehensible terrorist groups like Daesh that has claimed responsibility for this attack, and in the global fight against terrorism,” the US Embassy said in a statement expressing sympathy with Islamabad.
