After a protracted illness, veteran Pakistani stage and television actor Anwar Ali died Monday in Lahore at the age of 71.
According to family sources, Ali has been dealing with heart, renal, and lung ailments. After his health worsened on Sunday, he was taken to the hospital, where he eventually died.
Today (Tuesday), following Zuhr, funeral prayers will be said at Model Town Link Road in Lahore.
Ali was a well-known comedian and entertainer who worked for almost 40 years.
In addition to expressing sorrow at Ali’s departure, President Asif Ali Zardari honored his creative contributions.
