Voting for 28 local government (LG) by-election seats in 14 districts of Sindh has ended, and the tally of votes is already starting.
According to a statement from the Election Commission of Sindh, voting took place in a number of UCs in Karachi, Hyderabad, Dadu, Jamshoro, Matiari, Sukkur, Ghotki, Khairpur, Umarkot, Badin, and Thatta from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
A monitoring control room has been established, according to the ECP spokeswoman, and police have acknowledged that a significant number of personnel have been deployed in Karachi’s East, West, and Keamari districts to maintain security during the elections.
