Pakistan’s star batter Babar Azam has made a headline-grabbing appearance in the newly released Cricket 26 game just days before his Big Bash League (BBL) debut with the Sydney Sixers.
The Sixers shared an exciting video on Instagram showing Babar’s in-game avatar alongside Australian great Steve Smith. Another clip highlighted Babar celebrating a stunning in-game century, thrilling fans worldwide.
“Babar and Smudge making tons at the SCG — you can try it out on Cricket 26, out now,” the franchise captioned.
The BBL 15 season will begin on December 14, featuring 44 matches running until January 25, 2026, with no games scheduled on Christmas Eve or Christmas Day. The opening match will be a high-voltage showdown between the Perth Scorchers and Sydney Sixers at Perth Stadium.
Babar’s arrival has injected major excitement into the league. To honor his first-ever BBL appearance, the Sixers have introduced a special fan zone named “Babaristan” designed to celebrate cricket culture and welcome one of the world’s top batters.
Fans can join the celebration when the Sixers play their opening match against the Adelaide Strikers on December 17.
