Adam Scott and his co-stars were uncertain about the reaction of the audience to a streaming series centered around brain chips, a room full of goats, and waffle parties when they filmed Severance for Apple TV+.
The most-nominated program at Sunday’s Emmy Awards, the psychological thriller, is about office workers who have surgery that causes them to forget their personal lives at work and vice versa.
Scott, who portrays a history professor who becomes a manager in the antiseptic offices of the fictional Lumon Industries, remarked, “We all felt it was weird, and maybe too weird.”
