QUETTA: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif visited the provincial capital on Thursday in response to a string of horrifying assaults in Balochistan that claimed over 50 lives. He pledged to wipe terrorism from the province at all costs, declaring that the “blood of martyrs will not go in vain.”
The premier said these things while presiding over a high-level gathering of the provincial apex committee for the National Action Plan.
Attendees included the chief of staff of the Army, General Asim Munir, the deputy prime minister, Ishaq Dar, the governor of Balochistan, Sheikh Jaffar Khan Mandokhail, the chief minister of Balochistan, Mir Sarfraz Bugti, the security czar, Mohsin Naqvi, federal ministers Ahsan Iqbal, Attaullah Tarar, Jam Kamal, and the corps commander.
