RAWALPINDI: Imran Khan, the founder of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), who is currently incarcerated, threatened legal action against the chairman of the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) and the investigation officer (IO) on Thursday.
During a hearing of a fresh Toshakhana reference filed against the jailed pair, the ousted prime minister pointed fingers at NAB IO Mohsin Haroon and said, “My spouse [Bushra Bibi] is facing imprisonment due to cases concocted by you.”
In a fresh Toshakhana reference, an accountability court in Rawalpindi on September 2 extended the PTI founder’s and his wife’s judicial remand.
The latest reference concerns a case involving a set of jewelry that the Saudi crown prince sent to the former first lady Bushra during Imran’s tenure as prime minister of the nation from 2018 to 2022.
