KARACHI: Dispelling rumors on social media, the Sindh Education Department has stated that there isn’t a public holiday scheduled for tomorrow, Tuesday.
According to a department official, a notice about college closures was “fabricated and lacked authenticity”.
The official added that all of Sindh’s educational institutions would continue to operate normally.
The department insisted that decisions about closing schools or colleges would only be made in light of the current circumstances.
A phony notification that claimed a public holiday had been declared for all Karachi schools tomorrow was making the rounds on social media, prompting the education department to release the correction.
