Actor William Shatner, who is 92 years old, doesn’t need to go back on his storied Hollywood career to identify his greatest regret.
In an honest discussion of his 1989 movie “Star Trek V: The Final Frontier,” Shatner suggests that the endeavor was doomed from the beginning. He played Capt. James T. Kirk in the TV series and returned to the role in the movie.
“I wish I had the confidence and strength to take the actions I believed were necessary. The management responded to my idea, “‘Star Trek’ goes in search of God,” by asking, ‘Well, who’s God? He told The Hollywood Reporter, “We can’t do God; we’ll alienate the nonbeliever.”
During his reflection, William Shatner stated that he “doesn’t have long to live.”
