The Punjab cabinet composition has been set, and a notification will be released shortly on Tuesday. For the time being, the projected government will be made up of 16 members appointed by various political parties.
In the predicted cabinet lineup, 14 members of the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N), one from the Istehkam-e-Pakistan Party (IPP), and one from the PML-Q will be appointed. Notably, the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) has decided not to join the provincial cabinet.
Marriyum Aurangzeb, Azma Bukhari, Khawaja Salman Rafique, Mujtaba Shujaur Rehman, Bilal Yasin, Imran Nazir, Khizar Hayat Mazari, Sher Ali Gorchani, Ahmad Khan Leghari, and Rahila Khadim Hussain are among the prominent PML-N members who are expected to be appointed in the cabinet. Sibtain Raza Bukhari,Ayub Gadhi, Faisal Khokhar, and Yawar Zaman.
Furthermore, the predicted government will include officials from other political parties, such as Malik Ghazanfar Abbas Chheena of the Istehkam-e-Pakistan Party and Chaudhry Shafay Hussain of the PML-Q.
Earlier in the day, a high-level consultative meeting of senior PML-N leaders was held at the Sharifs’ Jati Umra mansion to discuss possible names for the Punjab government.
Nawaz Sharif, former prime minister and PML-N supremo, presided over the gathering. According to insiders, the discussion covered a variety of portfolios, including information, money, food, health, education, housing, and home.
