In the ninth encounter of the tournament at the R Premadasa Stadium in Colombo on Wednesday, reigning champions Australia defeated the Green Shirts by 107 runs, causing Pakistan to suffer their third straight loss in their ICC Women’s World Cup 2025 campaign.
After a valiant century from Beth Mooney and a team bowling effort, Australia easily defeated Pakistan, who were in last place.
Pakistan’s batting lineup, which is expected to chase a 222-run goal, could score 114 before being bowled out in 36.3 overs, resulting in their third straight loss in the eight-team international competition.
With five boundaries and a valiant 35 from 52 deliveries, the Green Shirts’ in-form top-order batsman Sidra Amin fought valiantly.
