LAHORE: In a case involving the purported promotion of online gambling and betting software, a municipal court in Lahore on Monday sentenced well-known YouTuber Saadur Rehman, also known as Ducky Bhai, to 14 days in jail on judicial remand.
Last month, Ducky Bhai was taken into custody by the National Cyber Crime Investigation Agency (NCCIA) at the Lahore airport.
The NCCIA brought Ducky Bhai before the court at the beginning of today’s session and requested an extension of his physical remand so that additional investigation could be conducted. However, the judge denied the NCCIA’s plea and placed the YouTuber under two weeks of judicial remand.
Ducky Bhai’s physical remand was prolonged by the court on Friday for three days, and a Lahore judicial magistrate authorized a further two-day extension on September 3.
