According to the National Seismic Monitoring Centre, Quetta and the neighboring territories were hit by an earthquake with a magnitude of 5.0 on Sunday night.
It further stated that the earthquake’s epicentre was 25 kilometers deep and roughly 65 kilometers west of Quetta.
Thus far, there have been no reports of fatalities or property damage.
Four days earlier, a 3.2-magnitude earthquake rocked Karachi’s Malir neighborhood, causing the tremors.
In recent years, the area has been rocked by earthquakes often, particularly in Pakistan and Afghanistan. Records reveal earthquake activity in nearby nations that are situated where the Indian and Eurasian tectonic plates converge.
