King Charles also did something special to mark a big anniversary. The Kings Foundation has been working for 35 years. To celebrate King Charles put a Blue Peter badge in a time capsule. This way people in the future can see what we are doing today to help the environment.
King Charles met some school kids who are learning about food and how to live in a way that’s good for the earth. King Charles also met some kids from Auchenharvie Academy. They are doing things to help people know more about the environment and how to take care of it.
King Charles really wants to help reduce food waste. This project started in 2023. It helps get extra food to people who need it in cities like London, Birmingham and Merseyside.
King Charles also helps people through The Kings Trust. The Kings Trust teaches people new skills and helps them get good jobs.
In 2023 King Charles and Queen Camilla got special Gold Blue Peter badges when they visited Liverpool. King Charles got his badge because he is a leader for the environment and he helps young people. Queen Camilla got her badge because she helps people learn to read and love books.
That day King Charles met some firefighters. These firefighters had just put out a fire in a historic building, in Glasgow. 250 Firefighters worked together to stop the fire. King Charles went to thank them for their work.
