Paramore After Doechii, a rapper from What It Is, received the bulk of Grammy nominations, Hayley Williams recently praised her.
It all began when Doechii talked candidly about how Paramore was the “first rock band” she listened to and how Hayley, the frontwoman, left a “huge impression” on her in an interview with The Sydney Morning Herald.
“My first exposure to rock music was Paramore,” the 26-year-old rapper told the outlet.
Doechii, whose real name is Jaylah Hickmon, stated, “I know that rock music is popular, but where I grew up in the South, in my culture and my radius, it wasn’t so popular.”
