A Democratic mayor from troubled Illinois is accused of using taxpayer funds to pay her professional clothing stylist.
Dolton, Illinois, mayor Tiffany Henyard has come under fire for allegedly misusing her position of authority and squandering tax dollars on extravagant expenses. Henyard is now Thorton Township’s county supervisor in addition to being the mayor. She earns over $300,000 more for those roles than the state governor does. Thorton Township and Dolton have typical incomes of $45–50K and $24K, respectively.
According to pictures on his Instagram account, Henyard gets her hair, cosmetics, and clothes done by a vendor called “Style Me Brandon,” run by Brandon K. Momon, prior to appearances at public meetings.
A Democratic mayor was accused of being “narcissistic” and putting a cosmetic artist on the town’s payroll by a former assistant.
