Investigations into a “truly horrific incident” at Legacy Independent Funeral Directors were being conducted, according to authorities earlier.
Days after 35 remains were recovered from the Hull-based business, investigators found what appear to be human ashes.
After her husband Carl passed away in November of last year at the age of 42, Louisa Millington made arrangements for his cremation at the funeral parlor.
“To be honest, it’s like being in sinking mud,” she said to News.
“Even after Carl passed away, I feel like I’m still plodding along, waking up every day to find out what’s going on, and you’re still waiting to find out.”
After police raided the Hull funeral home where her husband was cremated, the widow was left feeling “numb.”
