As per the prosecution, Piran Ditta Khan, 75, is suspected of masterminding the November 18, 2005, raid at the Universal Express travel office located in Morley Street, Bradford, West Yorkshire.
When they arrived at the scene of the robbery, PC Beshenivsky, 38, and her colleague, PC Teresa Milburn, 37, were unarmed and were shot at close range.
After just nine months on the West Yorkshire Police force, PC Beshenivsky succumbed to her wounds, while PC Milburn, who was also wounded in the chest, lived.
A majority of 10-1 found Khan guilty of murder after 11 jurors deliberated for over 19 hours over four days.
In addition, he was unanimously found guilty of two counts of possessing a restricted weapon and found guilty of two counts of possessing a handgun with the purpose to endanger life.
Khan has admitted guilt to robbery in the past.
