“No evidence of malevolent behavior” as e-gates resume operation at UK airports following travel disruption.

According to the Office, a "nationwide issue" with airport e-gates that was causing travel mayhem across the nation has been rectified.

It stated that there was “no indication of malicious cyber activity” and that the system was operational again.
Long lines formed overnight at the passport scanning gates at multiple airports, as seen in photos and videos posted on social media.

Some passengers claimed they missed trains due to delays, while others claimed they were detained on planes after they landed.

Edinburgh, Glasgow, and Aberdeen airports were also impacted, in addition to Manchester, Bristol, and Southampton, and Heathrow, Gatwick, and Stansted airports.

One traveler at Stansted Airport told News that, because of the problems, they had missed many coaches to central London and had just left the airport after over three hours in line.
