Emergency services scrambled to Den Finella waterfall, near St Cyrus in Aberdeenshire, after the alarm was raised over a woman in the water at around 2pm on Sunday.
The well-known beauty location has several plunge pools in addition to a 70-foot white water fall. With Coast Guard rescue crews dispatched from Montrose, Arbroath, Stonehaven, and Aberdeen, a significant water search was initiated. There were also representatives from Police Scotland, the Scotland Fire and Rescue Service, and the Scottish Ambulance Service present.
