At midnight on Wednesday, members of the Irish Air Line Pilot’s Association (IALPA) initiated an indefinite work-to-rule.
On Saturday, from 5:00 to 13:00 BST, there will be an eight-hour strike.
Separate discussions between the IALPA and Aer Lingus on Tuesday at the Labour Court in Dublin resulted in no agreement.
The airline expressed its disappointment that the Labour Court chose not to become involved in the issue, stating that it will examine the situation in July.
According to a statement, “Aer Lingus will continue to focus on minimising the disruption caused to customers by IALPA’s industrial action.”
“Has made it clear that it remains available for discussions both ways,” the airline stated.
According to Aer Lingus, there have been 270 flights canceled overall as a result of the strike.
The scheduled operations of Aer Lingus transatlantic flights to and from Manchester and all of its regional flights, operated by Emerald Airlines, will continue.
It demanded that IALPA “take into consideration the harm that the company, the Irish economy, and passengers are suffering as a result of its ongoing industrial action.”
