As the countdown to the historic Women’s Ashes Day-Night Test Match begins, Cricket Australia has released some classic photographs showing captain Alyssa Healy and vice captain Tahlia McGrath getting ready for the Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG).
At the MCG on Monday night, Healy and McGrath joined each other to commemorate the passing of six months till Australia and England play their first-ever day-night Test match there.
The test is scheduled to start on January 30 and run through February 2, 2025.
The historic game takes place on the 90th anniversary of the MCG’s first-ever women’s Test Match, which happened in 1934–1935 during the Australia–England series.
