Following the Los Angeles Lakers’ 23 free throws in the fourth quarter of their 132-131 victory over the Raptors on Tuesday, CBS News reported that Toronto coach Darko Rajakovic criticized the refereeing.
After Anthony Davis of the Lakers scored twenty of his forty-one points in the fourth quarter and shot eleven of eleven from the free throw line in the last frame, Rajakovic criticized the game’s free throw disparity.
Of the 36 free throws the Lakers made during the game, Davis made 14 of them, while the entire Toronto team only made 13.
The first-year Serbian head coach of Toronto remarked that the amount of free throws awarded to the Lakers was “outrageous” and a “shame for the league” during his rant, which included banging on tables.
