David Daintree, 53, was discovered deceased in his residence yesterday, just before 9:30 p.m.
The dog had to be shot dead, according to the police, who had “no alternative.”

According to Lancashire Police, killing the XL bully was necessary to stop more individuals from being harmed.
“This is a tragic incident that has sadly resulted in a man losing his life, and my thoughts are with his loved ones at this time,” Superintendent Marie Jackson stated.

I would encourage anyone with any information to get in contact as we are currently conducting an inquiry into the circumstances.

We will have additional police doing inquiries in the area, so I encourage anyone with information or concerns to get in touch with them.

Ownership of the XL bully breed without an exemption certificate became illegal in England and Wales on February 1.

One of the dogs’ requirements for any owner is that the pet be microchipped, neutered, and kept leash-free and muzzled in public.

After several assaults on individuals, the authorities decided to outlaw XL bullies.
