LONDON: As the aviation services between the two nations have been banned for more than four years, Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar stated on Saturday that attempts are being made to resume flights to and from the United Kingdom as soon as possible.
While speaking to the Pakistani diaspora in Britain, the deputy prime minister said, “We have made every effort, even we changed the laws as per the latest requirements of the Aviation Authority of UK to solve the issue of resumption of PIA flights.”
Following a fictitious trip, the European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) of the United States terminated PIA’s authorization to operate within the bloc in 2020, resulting in the suspension of flights to Europe and the United Kingdom.
