In a historic first for the competition, the International Cricket Council (ICC) has declared that the match officials for the 2025 ICC Women’s Cricket World Cup will be entirely female.
The ICC claims that although all-female panels have officiated at the last two ICC Women’s T20 World Cups and the 2022 Commonwealth Games in Birmingham, this is the first time they will be in charge of matches in a Women’s Cricket World Cup.
Four match referees and fourteen umpires make up the Emirates ICC Panel of Match Officials, which has a number of seasoned faces returning. Their third Women’s World Cup will be officiated by Sue Redfern, Claire Polosak, and Jacquline Williams.
